Print a poster of Your Favourite comedy Show

A poster of your favourite comedy can be a great reminder of the various instalments and the actors and the roles they played, so they are fun to have around as well. ‘Mash’ is particularly popular when it comes to posters, and many people actually frame these posters to make them look new for longer. Getting hold of the posters is probably easier and cheaper than you think, now that online printing is so widely available. Printing a poster of your favourite comedy show is quick and easy, and if you fix it to a wall, or the back of a door, you can enjoy the laughter again whenever you want to. Comedy really is an excellent stress reliever.

Before getting his first television break as the pathetic news and sports reporter Alan Partridge on the satirical news comedy, The Day Today, Steve Coogan made a name for himself as a stand-up comedian and respected impressionist. – he supplied the voice for several puppets in the political satire of the 1980’s Spitting Image.

With the demise of The Day Today, Coogan enjoyed three successful series playing the television presenter and radio deejay, Alan Partridge.

Outside of the UK Steve Coogan is probably best known for starring in films like The Parole Officer, Around The World in 80 Days and 24 Hour Party People to name a few. He has also set up a production company with fellow comedy writer and comedian, Henry Normal called Baby Cow. Since its formation in 1999 Baby Cow Productions have had several tv successes with such shows as The Mighty Boosh, Nighty Night, Marion and Geoff and Human Remains

Baby Cow Productions latest venture is Where Are the Joneses? – the world’s first daily online sitcom which uses Wiki technology to allow the audience to upload scripts and add storyline ideas.

This year Steve Coogan returns to live stand-up comedy for the first time in over 10 years. The Steve Coogan Tour Show is called “Steve Coogan Is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters.”

Though Coogan has created other characters such as Paul and Pauline Metcalfe and Saxonby, Alan Partridge remains his most most popular character.

You can buy Steve Coogan tickets now.

Breaking into the American market has never been an easy step for British Comedians, Steve Coogan is one of the best that Britain has to offer and he has created countless characters that have reduce the British public to tears (of laughter of course).

Paul and Pauline Calf and the hopelessly thick skinned Alan Partridge have now reached beyond the cult status that they originally enjoyed and are as mainstream in terms of being watched and talked about as Monty Pythons Flying Circus has become over the years.

Coogan has continued through his UK production company to offer some of the most refreshing topical and surreal comedy to be seen on UK television, but despite his valiant attempts at conquering Hollywood and becoming a global comedy legend, he has had limited success in that field.

While Coogan has enjoyed good reviews in many of his forays into film he has never yet reached the level that he has set for himself and that his fans yearn for him to achieve. His role as Tony Wilson in 24 Hour Party People was particularly well recieved as was the title character in Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story where he based the character on himself.

Around The World in 80 Days was an amusing family film but despite expectations really was very little more than that. An hilarious cameo alongside Alfred Molina in Coffee And Cigarettes must have helped Coogan’s case and he led to appearances alongside Hollywood’s box office comedy giant Ben Stiller in A NIght At The Museum and more recently Tropic Thunder.

Coogan is hoping that his latest effort Hamlet 2 will change his luck in the US. Already a hit at Sundance the film stars Coogan as a failed actor who takes up teaching drama in Tucson Arizona, When the school announces that the drama class is under threat of closure Coogan leads his students in an original musical production based loosely around Shakespeares Hamlet.

Meanwhile Coogan can be found on his latest tour “Steve Coogan Is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters” his first stand up tour in a decade. Steve Coogan Tickets are available here.

Here is a clip of Coogan as the obnoxious Alan Partridge in a previous stand up tour The Man Who Thinks He’s It.
