Holidays don’t get any better than luxurious cruises in the balmy tropics with sunshine, islands, jewel-toned skies and nature at her exotic best. If the visual treat wasn’t tempting enough, there’s enough aboard cruise liners these days to give you the ultimate in indulgent decadence. Luxury passenger vessels now boast shopping malls, giant swimming pools, rock climbing arenas, spas, specialty restaurants, and sports facilities. You can even surf aboard the ship if the fancy catches you.
If comedian Lewis Black has his way, your next cruise could also be a nonstop laughter riot.
Consider it a case of taking his Aruba promotions a little too seriously if you will, but the acclaimed comedian is set to take his routine to the Caribbean in late 2010.
Lewis Black is well known for his angry rants and simulated mental breakdowns, and stands out for his effective use of hyperbole and sarcasm. Profanity isn’t taboo either, and there’s hardly any topic that’s off limits for him.
The Grammy award recipient has hosted and appeared in a number of live and telecast shows. He was also part of a team that included Robin Williams, Kid Rock and Lance Armstrong that visited Iraq and Kuwait in support of American troops in 2007. The latest addition to his schedule is a 7-day cruise from Miami to Mexico and the Caymans.
The programme, which features Black and several of his stand-up comedian friends, has already generated an excited buzz across media. So sign up as soon as you can for a happy holiday that’s literally fun-filled.
