Although the Alan Partridge character is the most popular by Steve Coogan, my favourite is Duncan Thickett. I like the way he parodies stand up comedians whilst actually making us laugh with his gags. It's a very clever idea and if I were to book a comedian, before Ricky Gervais or Jimmy Carr, I would be knocking on Duncan Thickett's door. It would be great to book a show with him and he'll I'll always hold him dearer to me than Partridge or Saxondale.
